God of War Trilogy was released for PlayStation 3 in Japan on 25 March 2010 alongside the Japanese launch of God of War III. The package combines God of War Collection — the PS3 remasters of the original God of War and God of War II — with God of War III, allowing the three principal games of Kratos’s original Greek saga to be collected in a single release.
The Japanese edition was presented as a limited package rather than simply bundling the two standard PS3 cases. Both games are housed within a dedicated black collector’s box bearing the God of War Trilogy branding, accompanied by a 70-page art book.
The set also originally included a product code providing an alternative Kratos character skin for God of War III.
