Wall in the Presence -Yuppeism Edition- is an album by Japanese musician and producer Yuyoyuppe, released on 23 November 2011 during his independent dōjin period. Issued under catalogue number YYYP-0006, it forms part of the early catalogue associated with his Draw the Emotional circle.

Yuyoyuppe became particularly associated with the VOCALOID scene, where his combination of synthetic vocals with rock and heavier musical styles helped establish his reputation as a producer. Wall in the Presence instead features Yuyoyuppe’s own vocals, documenting another aspect of his work as a singer, songwriter and producer.

This preserved copy includes the original CD, jewel case, booklet and double-sided OBI. The front artwork also bears a handwritten signature attributed to Yuyoyuppe, dated 26 November 2011.

Release & Version Details

The physical CD was released in Japan on 23 November 2011 with catalogue number YYYP-0006.

One particularly interesting characteristic of the original artwork is an apparent production error involving track 7. The track listing prints its title as “Raniy day_master”, whereas the corresponding lyric page correctly identifies the song as “Rainy day”.

The error therefore incorporates both a transposition in the word Rainy and the unexplained _master suffix. The latter resembles terminology used for working or master audio files, although there is no confirmed explanation for its appearance on the finished artwork.

Why It’s Significant

Wall in the Presence documents Yuyoyuppe’s independent musical output at a time when he was already becoming established within Japan’s VOCALOID and dōjin music scenes. Its use of Yuyoyuppe’s own vocals distinguishes it from the VOCALOID recordings for which he became particularly recognised.

The surviving physical presentation also preserves small details of the original production that can easily disappear from later documentation, including the double-sided OBI and the “Raniy day_master” printing error.

This particular copy is additionally noteworthy because of the signature attributed to Yuyoyuppe. It is dated 26 November 2011, only three days after the album’s release. If authentic, this would place the signing firmly within the album’s original release period.

Preservation Notes

The double-sided OBI is a separate paper component and is particularly vulnerable to being lost when CDs change ownership. Its presence is therefore useful when documenting a complete example of the release.

The original track-list artwork identifies track 7 as “Raniy day_master”, while the lyric booklet correctly prints “Rainy day”. This discrepancy appears to be part of the original printed artwork rather than later alteration.

The front cover bears a handwritten signature in black marker attributed to Yuyoyuppe, accompanied by the handwritten date 26 November 2011. The writing appears to have been physically applied to the artwork and is not part of the printed cover design.

The signature has not been independently or professionally authenticated, and no certificate of authenticity accompanies this copy. Its physical appearance and date are consistent with a contemporary signature, and we consider it likely to be genuine; however, its attribution to Yuyoyuppe remains unverified and should not be regarded as formal authentication.
